Pregnant Jesy gets emotional over boyfriend's London Marathon run in hospital (2025)

PREGNANT Jesy Nelson grew emotional this morning as her boyfriend Zion Foster prepared to run the London Marathon.

The former Little Mix singer, 33, is currently living in hospital after being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) which puts her unborn twins at risk of dying.

She could go into labour at any moment and it's too early into the pregnancy to risk letting her home.

Today, she shared a picture from her bed as she tuned into the sporting spectacle and wrote: "I feel so emotional this morning knowing my baby is running the marathon for our babies and for Twins Trust.

"Zion Foster my heart feels so proud of you. You got this my angel."

Yesterday, Zion, 25, and Jesy recorded a video together in which they plugged the charity and asked for last minute donations.

Zion wrote: "Training has been a rollercoaster ride but it’s all for an amazing cause and I’m ready to cross that finish line."

Jesy previously had a successful operation - though didn't specify the type of procedure - after revealingher twins are "living off one placenta".

The diagnosis took the parents-to-be by surprise and they revealed they had no idea what TTTS was before the diagnosis.

"This thing is incredible. I have not got one stretch mark on my belly," she said.

"It could just be good genes, but I do have stretch marks in other places, but it's been amazing."

Jesy added: "I love it because it smells amazing. And it's really hydrating and genuinely I feel like it's been so moisturizing for my skin."

The singer then lifted up her t-shirt to show her baby belly as "proof" she did not have any stretch marks.

"This is a big old belly. I've got twins in there by the way guys, so look, there's no stretch marks," Jesy said.

The next product she shared was a moisturizer by Fat Cow Skincare which she said has kept her skin hydrated after it turned to "sandpaper" during her pregnancy.

What is premature birth and what are its risks?

Premature birth is when a baby is born before 37 weeks of pregnancy.

About eight out of 100 babies will be born prematurely.

It's possible for a baby to survive if born around 24 weeks of pregnancy onwards - 24 weeks is the legal limit for abortion.

Babies born this early need care in a hospital withspecialist facilities for premature babies, called a neonatal unit.

The risks of having a premature baby include:

  • Small size
  • Low body temperature
  • Breathing problems
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Developmental delay
  • Vision problems
  • Hearing problems

Theymay have health and development problems because they have not fully developed in the womb.

In some cases, pre-term labour isplanned and induced because it's safer for thebaby to be born soonerrather than later.

Risk factors that have been identified for preterm birth include pregnancy with multiple babies, six months or less between pregnancies, a previous premature birth and problems with the placenta.
